Mining Heritage Projects
Knevitt Consulting Engineers has, over the years,
obtained extensive experience and knowledge in
respect of structural consultancy for the consolidation of mining heritage structures. The first works were carried out in October
1999 in respect of the Levant Mine Complex, Penzance, Cornwall.
Our recent projects over the last five years include:
In the majority of projects Knevitt Consulting act as specialist consultants and a significant number are Listed Scheduled Ancient Monuments. Work on conservation projects requires close liaison with other specialist consultants such as Archaeologists, Ecologists and Mineralogists. In addition, with Scheduled Ancient Monuments, close involvement with English Heritage has to be undertaken together, where applicable, with a specialist Conservation Consultant.
